What you'll do:

The job of the installer/welder exists to install wooden floors onto truck bodies; weld metal parts as part of manufacturing of truck bed fabrication; additionally may assist in other miscellaneous duties/related work as required.

-Inspect floor surfaces to be installed to ensure the condition is even enough for smooth floor material installation
-Clear the imperfections by sanding and scraping
-Perform measurements to get floor size and estimate covering materials
-Drill holes to platforms to fasten wood to the frame
-Cut the floor woods; Stain wooden floors
-Help with installation of truck bodies or platforms
-Responsible for using hand welding, flame cutting, hand soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components
-May dismantle metal assemblies or cut scrap metal, using thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting or plasma-arc equipment
-Fill cavities or corrects malformation in lead parts and hammers out bulges and bends in metal work pieces

What you need to be successful:

Education: High School Diploma or GED
Prior Experience: Welder, MIG and TIG, Installation
Computer Skills: N/A
Technical Skills: N/A
Industry-Specific Knowledge: N/A
Preferred: General knowledge of welding principles & installation practices
