As the Director/Innovation at Community Financial Credit Union, this role will lead the management of innovation concepts from ideation to implementation within our Innovation Lab. This position will transform insights into innovative ideas and effectively drive impact, while ensuring seamless integration and execution of human-centered design strategies.

This position has a starting annual rate of $103,500, but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferrable skills.

A Day in the life of a Director/Innovation can look like:

  • Lead the ideation, design, and development of innovative financial products, member benefits, or systems.
  • Manage the innovation pipeline through the formation of the Innovation CUSO (Credit Union Service Organization).
  • Support the strategy for investments within the CUSO, aiming for profitability and strengthening pathways to new non-interest income.
  • Support strategic partnership relations to drive business outcomes, including onsite event activations, specialized product development, and maximizing the value of Community Financials' investments.
  • Act as a thought leader, identifying and sharing new business and technology strategies from diverse industries.
  • Provide senior-level insights based on quantitative and qualitative data.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Member Experience, Market Research, Business Analytics, or other related business field.
  • Minimum of two years of organizational innovation leadership experience or related leadership experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience leading cross-functional teams or projects.
  • Minimum of three years of experience within the financial industry.
  • Demonstrated advanced learning through education achievement and/or innovation-related certifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic cross-enterprise innovations that broadly engage business, technology, and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience envisioning and implementing complex multi-part projects in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience participating in innovation organizations or teams with substantial creative autonomy.
  • Strong storytelling and leadership capabilities that generate enthusiasm for innovation.
  • Broad insights regarding evolving business and technology strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of agile practices in an enterprise environment.
