Sales Engineer - ABU (Aftermarket)

Job Description

Develop and manage new and existing Aftermarket and other designated businesses in the markets under their responsibilities, following the NSK Business Compliance rules. Be responsible in these markets of the process of sales, aiming to achieve and overpass the objectives in Sales volume, Sales Gross Profit and Costs. Consolidate the leadership of NSK in the markets under their responsibilities, by means of an adequate strategy that works over presence, selectivity, differentiation, and customer orientation.

Responsibilities

  • To participate on the definition of a commercial strategy based on the management requirements and available resources (together with direct supervisor).
  • To implement the adopted commercial strategy, evaluating the results, and executing the necessary corrections.
  • To coordinate with colleagues, the management of the Regional Customers accounts, exchanging the necessary information.
  • To review the financial status of our distributors, avoiding payment delays.
  • To prepare quotations, to carry out follow-ups, and process purchase orders.
  • To give commercial and technical support to distributors and end users.
  • To receive requests for PNs quotation, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from distributors.
  • To optimize stock management.
  • To recommend potential products to distributors and customers by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
  • To participate on local team meetings, business team meetings (and all other meetings) for the exchange of new ideas and the update of all the necessary information.
  • To submit the commercial statistics and reports in accordance with the established datelines and the appropriate information systems.
  • To establish and supervise, in association with all the other sectors, the necessary operational systems to be focused on our client's satisfaction, considering their inquiries and their needs.
  • To be self-motivated, improving their competencies, and technical skills through Performance Development tools.
  • To propose products, markets, and strategies needed to be followed to accomplish the objectives in Sales volume, New Business Development, Sales Gross Profit, and Costs, jointly with the direct supervisor. This is needed to be done on a 3-year basis, subject to quarterly reviews, monthly.
  • To keep frequent visits and contacts with distributors and customers on the markets under their responsibility, to work over the Aftermarket business opportunities.
  • To keep updated information in the system.
  • To keep a constant update and training in the new products within NSK.
  • To keep a constant update in the market's development (macro view) and the evolution of the business of the distributors.
  • To use the tools of the company for the development of the business in the objective markets.
  • Together with the direct supervisor, define, support, and follow-up all the MarCom activities needed to develop the business in the objective markets.
  • To follow Sales Administration and Financial procedures in order to assess and deliver the necessary information needed to the correct development of the commercial transaction that is to be generated.
  • To keep a constant and fluid communication with the NSK team.
  • To optimize the resources allocated to develop the opportunities when organizing the visit schedules, in order to reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  • To inform the direct supervisor about any delay, inconvenience, or other specific issues.
  • Work on sales forecasting with the direct supervisor.
  • To grow and manage all new businesses NSK may develop and designate in the markets of their responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical, Industrial, or similar engineer or technician degree.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English and the language(s) used in the markets under their responsibility.
