The Healthcare & Science business of Thomson Reuters provides intelligent information to better manage the cost and quality of healthcare and accelerate scientific research and innovation.

The Product Director is responsible for managing the suite of Consumer Advantage Solutions. In this role, the Product Director is responsible for customer solution design and sales support, market knowledge and competitive analysis, product requirements definition and prioritization, overseeing product managers, and collaborating with the development and operations teams, to ensure a successful product launch, revenue stream, and market share, with this innovative solution.
  • Provide thought leadership for a comprehensive product strategy
  • Provide in-depth market, product, and competitive knowledge in the field
  • Provide solution design and sales support in key sales situations where subject matter expertise is required
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the product and underlying models/methods
  • Work closely with product development to clarify requirements, review designs, and collaborate in the product development process.
  • Communicate product capabilities and plans to sales staff, development and support teams and implement product rollout to the market.
  • Assist in the build/buy/partner decisions for related capabilities/components.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with implementation team and development partners/beta clients to ensure product meets market need.
  • Work with business units to translate current and emerging market needs into new product concepts and new applications.
  • Manage product managers for the various Consumer Advantage Solutions

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; Masters preferred
  • 5 years experience in software product leadership or related disciplines in the healthcare industry.
  • 5 years experience in the healthcare industry; Payer market preferred
  • Experience with data-driven decision support tools
  • Excellent market-facing and customer facing presence
  • Ability to effective present / demonstrate to individuals and groups
  • Successful track record in building and managing a high performance team
  • Ability to translate market and product needs into concise and meaningful product requirements
  • Ability to think creatively and to contribute to both strategic and tactical decisions
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to facilitate and influence decisions in a matrix environment
  • Ability to understand and interact with technically-oriented team members
